MIDWEST RETREAT: CINCINNATI AREA SEPTEMBER 20
We're especially happy to announce a
Midwest retreat by author Michael H. Brown in
the Cincinnati area on Saturday, September 20 -- at which time we will
focus on that region of the Midwest and the many solidly Catholic towns in
Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana.
The reason for the special happiness is that Cincinnati is not only one of the nation's most Marian cities but also -- on a personal note -- where our first Catholic books, including The Final Hour, were published (by the Riehle Foundation), and where we have visited many times, though not for nearly a decade. It will be a thrill to return!
The retreat will focus on regional issues, signs of the times, current trends and events, prophecy, the afterlife, spiritual warfare, and general spiritual development.
It will be held at the Cincinnati Marriott North at Union Center, which is located at 6189 Muhlhauser Road in West Chester.
The retreat will run from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. and will include the talks and question-and-answer periods. A luncheon will also be offered.
But mostly, it will be a time to discern together.
What's happening around us? Why does so much seem in upheaval? What may (or may not) be coming? Why storms? Why floods? Are there problems in nature itself? What about genetic engineering of our food? Do we approach an economic crunch -- and problems with our food supply, as the Lord seeks to simplify us? How do we prepare?
There will also be a discussion of heightened demonic attacks on families, how to ward such off, the value of special sacramentals, the role of Confession and the Eucharist, and extensive review of Heaven, hell, and purgatory -- as viewed in Catholic mystical theology as well as fascinating near-death experiences.
What happens when we die? How do we prepare for eternity? What does God look for in us? How will we be evaluated? Do we see deceased loved ones? How is Heaven described? How do we live a joyful, miraculous life?
The joys, says the author, are difficult to describe and in the end is the message that: God is in full control; we are in a place of testing -- and the goal is to pass with flying colors; things will be fine if we follow Him.
How to do that composes a substantial portion of a retreat that will also address alleged healings, visions, images, varied phenomena, and apparitions.
The price is $40 per person. Priests, nuns, and deacons are free of charge. If possible, there will be a concluding healing Mass. Please let all our dear friends know about it!
Admission can be purchased on-line with button below; or by calling 386-446-8139 between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. weekdays. Please note that there are no tickets issued; confirmations are e-mailed; attendees are on list at door.
